Paris, I love you! You’re my first love and I will never forget about you! But, it’s time to go our separate ways. I know I will be missing you… A LOT! It will probably be harder for me than it will be for you in the end, but even though you still get many things to offer me, it seems to me that we have no future together. I need to explore my other options … I mean… the world right now. I am sorry!
Yes, I am for real :-p
I was born there and spent most of my life in the area.
Yet, quite often I have felt like a tourist in my own city. I have loved wandering in its streets, I could have walked for hours (except in the winter!!) just for the pleasure of looking at its buildings and discovering a hidden treasure – a café with a nice atmosphere, a cute shop, a tag on a wall or a whole neighborhood I have just never had the chance to go to before. I used to grab my phone and again, like a tourist, take pictures of all these things that surrounded me.
As much as I love Paris, and I really do, I have always felt that I needed more: more adventure, fun, excitements, experiences.. so here came California, England and now Australia.
Oh yes, I will always love Paris and I know there are still some parks, many streets, many neighboroods, countless museums, famous bars, restaurants and clubs I am not familiar with BUT …it’s time to go and leave it…again…You know the saying, if you love something, set it free, if it comes back to you, it’s yours.
